To promote an educational transformation that contributes to improving the quality of learning and social equity, CEIBAL has become the tool to introduce new information and communication technologies into the Uruguayan educational system. In addition to providing access to technological devices, it promotes their use in the classroom through the deployment of educational platforms, the creation of digital educational content, and teacher training.

The education system in Uruguay faces challenges in achieving continuous, complete, and successful paths for young people. Despite having universal coverage in elementary school, a significant percentage of students repeat the first grades (13.4% in 1st and 6.9% in 2nd grade). These high repetition rates generate lagging: by 6th grade, 29% of students are over-aged..

The Department for Social Prosperity (DPS) is an agency of the Colombian Government responsible for implementing policies, general plans, programs, and projects to provide assistance, care, and reparation to victims of violence, social inclusion, and attention to vulnerable groups, and their social and economic reintegration. One of its strategic objectives is to articulate and manage the social offering addressed to households and communities' social and productive inclusion.

In the context of the COVID-19 emergency, and to respond to the closing of schools and the 50%-reduction in the usual occupation of commercial establishments and its effects on employment, the Costa Rica government implemented actions including the delivery of food packages and a cash transfer program (Bono Proteger) to support the disadvantaged population, particularly affected by the socioeconomic crisis.

In 2010, the job search services of Dirección General de Empleo de Paraguay (General Directorate for Employment) operated only in one office in Asunción. To search for a job, applicants handed in their resumes at the office, and an employee manually consulted the vacancy file. The process was so slow that only 562 people received individual job counseling in 2010. At the same time, companies were not registering vacancies, evidencing few options available for applicants.

The public education network of the subnational government of Pernambuco, Brazil, needed to centralize and automate the enrollment process and improve the student allocation to educational institutions, solving the problem of enrollment imbalance (e.g., congestion or underutilized infrastructure) and improving the matching between families and schools. The pilot test took place in the Regional Education Management 'Agreste Centro-Norte' in 16 municipalities in Caruaru, ahead of the start of classes for the 2021 school regime.

The project aims to improve the allocation of students to educational institutions by solving the problem of unbalanced enrollment (E.g., congestion or underutilized infrastructure) and improving the match between families and schools.
