Automated decision support systems (ADS) are machine-based systems that can make predictions, recommendations, or decisions influencing real or virtual environments for a given set of human-defined objectives. These systems are designed to operate with varying levels of autonomy. Over the last few years, ADS have grown exponentially in number and application areas.
This self-assessment tool is designed to allow the mitigation of ethical risks associated with the use/application of new technologies. It is available so that the ethical performance of each system can be evaluated from the beginning.
